What we do for GTA builders
Winter scaffolding tarping for GTA home builders
Winter scaffolding tarping wraps the scaffold around a new home in reinforced poly or insulated tarps so masons and envelope trades can keep working when it's cold, windy or snowing. We tarp custom and production homes for builders, masons and GCs across the GTA. Send your site address and storeys, or call 905-251-0101.
Tyvek, Blueskin and SOPRASEAL building envelope installation
We install Tyvek house wrap and self-adhered air barrier membranes (Henry Blueskin and Soprema SOPRASEAL) on new homes for GTA builders, masons and GCs. The work goes on after sheathing and before cladding, with windows, penetrations and transitions detailed so the wall stays dry behind brick, stone or siding. Working GTA-wide. Call 905-251-0101.
Exterior insulation: SOPRA-XPS 20 and SOPRA-ISO V ALU
We install continuous exterior insulation on new homes for GTA builders using two Soprema boards: SOPRA-XPS 20 extruded polystyrene and SOPRA-ISO V ALU foil-faced polyiso. It goes over the water-resistive barrier and under the cladding, fastened and strapped to suit your wall design, and timed to your framing and cladding schedule so it doesn't hold up the next trade. Working GTA-wide. Call 905-251-0101.
Power washing for new and existing homes
We power wash new homes for GTA builders before PDI and closing, and we restore older brick and stone homes. Brick, stone, concrete, driveways and walkways are cleaned with low pressure and the cleaner the brick or stone manufacturer recommends. Single homes or whole phases, anywhere in the GTA. Call 905-251-0101.
Brick tie installation for new home façades
We install brick ties on new homes for GTA builders and masons, to the 2024 Ontario Building Code and your engineer's spacing, before the masons arrive. Since 2024, ties for masonry veneer must be pre-bent before galvanizing and fastened with 76 mm nails. We photograph each elevation for your records. Call 905-251-0101.
Why GTA builders book us before freeze-up
Once temperatures drop, the Ontario Building Code requires mortar and masonry to stay at 5 °C or warmer while they're laid and for at least 48 hours after. Without an enclosure and heat, brick stops. Booking tarping before the first hard frost means the scaffold is wrapped when your masons need it, not a week later.
Built around builder schedules. We plan around freeze-up, inspections and closing dates so weather protection and envelope work don't become the bottleneck.
One crew for the critical façade scopes. Tarping, envelope, insulation, brick ties and power washing, sequenced with your other trades.
Ontario rules, not guesswork. We work under Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act and O. Reg. 213/91 (Construction Projects), including the rules on heaters used in tarped enclosures.
Based at 39 Ballard Crescent in Newmarket, working for builders across York, Toronto, Peel, Durham and Halton, plus Niagara and Simcoe County.
How it works: measure, quote, install, strip
Measure. Send the site address, storeys and elevations. We measure the scaffold or wall area on site or from your drawings.
Quote. You get a written quote itemised by scope and elevation.
Install. We install to your schedule and coordinate with the site super, masons and other trades.
Strip. When the work is done or the weather turns, we strip the tarps and leave the scaffold clear.

Builder FAQs
Why do builders tarp and heat masonry in winter in Ontario?
The Ontario Building Code requires mortar and masonry to be kept at 5 °C or warmer during installation and for at least 48 hours afterwards, with no frozen material in the mortar. Tarping the scaffold and heating the enclosure lets masons keep laying brick through the winter.
What do you need from me for a winter tarping quote?
The site address, target start date, number of homes, storeys, approximate linear feet of scaffold and which elevations need covering. Call 905-251-0101 or use the quote form.
Is Tyvek a vapour barrier?
No. Tyvek HomeWrap is a vapour-permeable weather and air barrier. It sheds bulk water and limits air leakage while letting the wall assembly dry outward.
Which areas do you cover?
We work across the Greater Toronto Area: York Region, the City of Toronto, Peel, Durham and Halton, plus Niagara Region and Simcoe County.
Can you handle more than one scope on the same house?
Yes. We can tarp the scaffold, install the envelope (Tyvek, Blueskin or SOPRASEAL), add exterior insulation (SOPRA-XPS 20 or SOPRA-ISO V ALU) and brick ties, and power wash before PDI, so one crew coordinates the façade from start to finish.
