Safety, insurance and compliance
Production builders and GCs pre-qualify their trades before work starts. This page explains how to request the documents you need from GTA Tarping INC.
Insurance
Tell us the insurance requirements in your pre-qualification package (limits, additional insureds, certificate holder) and we'll respond to your trade coordinator with our insurance documentation.
WSIB clearance
If your site requires a WSIB clearance certificate for trades, list it in your document request.
Training
If your site requires specific training records, such as Working at Heights, list them in your document request and we'll respond with our records.
Ontario rules we work under (OHSA, O. Reg. 213/91)
We work under Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act and O. Reg. 213/91 (Construction Projects). For winter tarping, Section 49 of O. Reg. 213/91 sets rules for heaters used in enclosures and under tarpaulins, so we build enclosures with clearance and ventilation for the heaters you plan to use. Crews wear PPE and hi-vis and keep work zones marked off from other trades.
